Misr travel was established in 1934 by the great Egyptian economist Talaat Harb, to be first and oldest travel company in Egypt and the Middle East. Through out that period Misr Travel has been managed by a long line of influential economists and politicians. One of the most famous leaders was Mr. Mohamed El Sakka who successfully managed Misr Travel for 20 years (1969–1989). During this period, the company witnessed rapid expansions. Branch offices were inaugurated all over Egypt and around the world. Magawish Village was built to be the first resort on the Red Sea, in Hurghada. Last but not least was the launch the first Nile cruises between Luxor and Aswan. Today Misr travel extends its services in Egypt and around the world.
